My experience in legal translations
I am a New Zealander who has lived in Germany now for nigh on forty years. For the time being, I shall be operating from Germany which presents no problems these days due to modern means of communications.
I have almost twenty years of experience in the translating business; most of this experience has been gained in the field of legal translations. I have passed the Goethe Institute’s “Große Deutsche Sprachdiplom” and the examination as a Translator for Economics at the Chamber for Trade and Industry in Berlin.
I am a member of Euleta, the European Legal Teachers Association. The regular conferences of this organisation present a very valuable opportunity to discuss points of legal translation and legal language with colleagues with the highest qualification.
